I am a Consumer Experience Psychologist at The Marketing Clinic. A small but very powerful agency specialising in understanding consumers’ emotional responses to brands, products and services and helping client companies to improve the performance of their brands by understanding how small changes in their products, their communication, positioning, packaging, etc. can make huge differences to the way that consumers respond to them.
As a psychologist, I am fascinated by the way that consumers are affected by the products and communications that they encounter every day and by how little the marketers and product owners seem to understand how and why their products engender these emotional responses or how they can leverage this knowledge in product and/or communication development to improve liking, preference, loyalty and advocacy. .
